Book Blogger Hop and Follow Fridays not to mention Giving me the Creeps October Loot!

Book Blogger Hop

So this weeks Book Blogger Hop question is:
What's your favorite beverage while reading or blogging, if any? Is it tea, coffee, water, a glass of wine, or something else?

Soooooo easy! Tea or coffee, preferably curled up in  a beam of sunshine or in a blanket on my chaise lounge or couch with a kitty.  This is my ultimate pleasure (outside of eating of course, which to be frank, I enjoy way too much), which is likely why I'm such a prolific reader.

This is my first week doing Follow Friday, and I'm dying to get more people on board for links to Giving me the Creeps October so I thought I'd go all out with the networking this week.
The question for Follow Friday is:

How many reviews do you like to do a week?

I aim for around 3 (I am only one person after all), but it depends on the length of books and just how otherwise busy I am. I mix the posts with news I've come across and anything else I think people would love to hear (interviews, guest posts etc.) and then every Friday is my  Feline Friday.  So I average about 4-6 posts in a week, which can be a lot of work!

So welcome all newbies and returning friends!  Have a look around and hopefully you'll join my October fun.  For the whole month I'm posting reviews, interviews, guest posts and a contest(!) all featuring creepy/paranormal/horrifyingly fun books!

I'm calling it Giving me the Creeps October, and I want to promote your blog too!  So join in by dropping off links here to all your scary/vampire/zombie/witches/ good October fun reviews, giveaways, interviews and more and share the scary all month long.
You can pick up a button here to get started:

Also don't forget to join my Wild Spirits Contest, draw date is midnight Monday so last few days to enter for one of three copies of the book!

Finally the LOOT!
So many good things have appeared in my mailbox recently I thought I should do a little show and tell.
Random Magic, By Sasha Soren, who's coming by tuesday for a fun giving me the creeps guest post.
Lure, by Deborah Kerbel (review tomorrow).
The Abused Werewolf Rescue group, by Catherine Jinks. And finally Christopher Pike, talk about a blast from my past! His new middle school book The Secret of Ka.
Plus I thought it was perfect timing to buy myself this cast silver butchers knife necklace, I've been coveting it for a good 8 months now, and Giving me the Creeps October seemed like just the right time to pick it up.  Made by Sarah Wan of The Devils Workshop it's a quirky bit of jewelry and I love it.  Of course now I just need the Cleaver necklace so I can wear them together!

  5. Thanks for hopping by my blog! Now following you too :) Really enjoying reading your reviews - I was so happy to see reviews of the Alanna series! Those were the books that got me into YA fantasy (and the first three are the covers of the actual books I own...oh the '80s...) My favorite was always the second book too :D

  6. LOL - I read while I eat, too, which means I devour whole plates of food before I even realize it! I should probably just stick to sipping water ...

Glad to have found you via the Hop. I've been reviewing lots of scary books over on my blog. I'll try to remember to come back and share 'em. Happy Halloween!

  12. Hey, thanks for stopping by my hop post and following, now following back :)

Tea is goood. Can't stand coffee though! I think 3 reviews a week is good, I like being able to manage 3 a week as well if I can. But like you say, real life can get in the way!
