Saturday Link Salad

Oh hello Saturday, so nice to see you.  I have to say, it's +11 degrees here today, sunny and delightful looking, so I'm not quite sure what I'm doing blogging, however! I owe you linkage. So without further ado, here you go!

-A wee teaser from Maureen Johnson for the much anticipated Madness Underneath.

-Want an excerpt of Book blogger turned author Lenore's Level 2?  Well look no further than the Level 2 Facebook page!  There's also a bunch of interviews and giveaways starting up now that it's less than a week to publication, check out the first one at serendipity reviews

-Cassandra Clare has finally been able to release all the various array of special content that was in all her different releases of City of Lost Souls.  Check out her Tumblr for the goodies.

-Shannon Messenger has revealed the title and cover for book of the Keeper of the Lost Cities part two.

-Kiera Cass has announced that the paperback of The Selection will have the first chapter of the Elite in the back as bonus content, but if you already have The Selection, do not fear, the e-novella of The Prince will have the first TWO chapters of the Elite.  For a summary, and the pre-ordering details head on over to Kiera's blog for details.

-I'm pretty sure the best way to spend Valentines in Toronto this year will be to head on down to the Public Libraries Bram and Bluma Appel Salon to check out Lemony Snicket.  Tickets are free, and will be available for pre-order on January 17th at 10am.  I suspect they'll go fast so be prepared!

-Speaking of the Toronto Public Library, they're running an intriguing sounding Sherlock Holmes Exhibit.  Who knew the Toronto Public Library had one of the largest collections of Doyle memorabilia.

-Kat Kruger of the Night has Teeth is coming to Toronto for three separate events.  I'm hoping to make it to the Type books mini launch, how about you?

-Speaking of Toronto bookish events, Indigo is going to be hosting Melissa de la Cruz on January 20th, Ally Carter February 9th, and Marissa Meyer TBD March 7-9 (possibly Indigo?).

-If you were hoping to catch John Green and Hank in NYC, but missed out on Carnegie hall tickets, then check out the rehearsal dates.  Apparently there are still some tickets left!

-Did you fall in love with Emily Mckay's The Farm like me? Are you dying for some amazing bonus content and prizes? then make sure to join her Green Team.  Seriously, there are some pretty impressive prizes.

-Finally, its a new year have you picked your reading challenges already?  I have to say, the 50 book pledge is too small for me (I did 161 last year) and some of the other challenges are too specific, but Random House has a great new one that's a fun mixed bag.  Reading Bingo 2013!

Ok, now I gotta run, I have a crazy kitten that needs distracting before she tears my house to pieces. Have fun with the links!
