Sunday Link Salad, the Easter Edition

Oh Easter morning, you were so much more fun when someone would surprise me with oodles of chocolate, bunny shaped buns and other miscellaneous, sugar laden goods.  Seriously, the hubs is out of town and I have to haul my sorry, tired butt into work. Sooo much less exciting then chocolate hunting.  I will have to live vicariously through everyone else's Easter tweets and posts this weekend I think.  That being said, I have a mini linking hunt full of bookish news for you, so while you sneak chocolates from the closest child's haul, link away!

-Patrick Ness' Walking Chaos series and A Monster Calls books have all gotten cover makeovers.  I like the Chaos Walking covers but the one for A Monster Calls is disappointing.  It doesn't hint at the marvelous art work inside, and for me that's one of the best parts!

-This week, part two in R.L. LaFevers His Fair Assassins series comes out, Dark Triumph.  But if you're like me, and can't wait, then make sure to head over to Anna Reads for an exclusive sneak peak at an outtake from the book.

-Because the release of Clockwork Princess was no FOREVER ago (read not even two weeks ago), Cassie Clare has acknowledged that her fandom must be frothing at the mouth for new hints and teasers.  She's right, we are.  She kindly posted a  Bane Chronicles snippet involving none other than....James Herondale. Oh she knows us so well!

-Lauren Kate has a new series debuting this fall called Teardrop, head on over to to get a taste for what she has in store for fans of the Fallen series.

-Margaret Stohl of Beautiful Creatures fame, has a new book, Icons due out in May.  Can't picture what a book will look like from only one of your favorite duo authors? Well wonder no longer, Bibliofiend has an exclusive first look at the first chapter!

-Speaking of new and exciting series, Ally Condie has made the most preliminary of announcements about her next writing adventure.  It's a long ways off yet, fall 2014, but if you want a glimpse of what's in store head on over to her blog where she gives a cursory description about it.

-In further new series news, head on over to RT Book Reviews for a brief interview and an exclusive excerpt from Aprilynn Pikes newest book, Earthbound, due out July 30th.

-And finally, it's only three short months till the release of Tessa Grattons next big thing, The Lost Sun, and in honor of that she's posted the first page. MMmmmmm, can't wait to read this one!

No go forth and Easter Sunday onwards! May it be full of sunshine and the best of all foods.  Eat some for me, will you?
