It has been a bleary, grey, cold, wet and snowy few days in TO, and the hubby and I have spent a lot of time cozied up at home, reading, snuggling kitties, eating and catching up on TV shows. In other words, bliss. In that time, it has either been a quiet news week, or I've missed out on some of it. So if you have anything to add, feel free to chime in with links!
-Patrick Ness has announced the name, blurb and cover of his next YA novel More Than This. Expect it in the UK and US in September.
-Maggie Stiefvater had an interesting interview with the Telegraph this week, revealing a bit of her rebellious teen years and talking about her worries over the homogenization of teens these days. Well said Maggie, well said. And if you were feeling like you hadn't had a funny Maggie moment for awhile then make sure to check out her Tumblr, where she's briefly posted about some additions to her new home.
-Are you dying to dig into Leigh Bardugo's Siege and Storm? Well Mac Teen Books has a five chapter teaser for you, if you think you can read it and not pop a few blood vessels waiting for the rest. Speaking of teasers, Bardugo posted a tidbit of the extra content letter from Mal that will be in the paperback copy of Siege and Storm this week.
-The first cover for the Bane Chronicles has been revealed by EW's Shelf Life, along with an interview with Cassie Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan and Maureen Johnson. Speaking of which, the Bane Chronicles has it's own website now, which currently has all the titles and a blurb for each of the forthcoming short stories.
-MTV announced another casting for the Divergent movie, Ashley Judd is now set to play Tris's mom. Somehow I can't picture Kate Winslet and Ashley Judd in anything together, yet she seems a plausible version of Tris's mom. I guess we'll have to see!
And that's this weeks news!
